My name is Katie McGlamery and I am currently attending the University of Cincinnati’s Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning program in the School of Design. I plan to earn my degree as a Bachelor of Science in Design majoring in Communication Design, with a concentration on Graphic Design in my fifth and final year of study. I am participating in the Professional Practice Program, alternating semesters of classroom study with work in the field of design. I have made the Dean’s List every semester thus far, am a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, and have a GPA of 3.798.

I have known that I wanted to participate in the arts for as long as I have been walking, deciding to specifically pursue a career in design by the 8th grade. During my junior and senior years of high school I was the marketing designer for my high school theater, creating the posters, banners, show shirts and more for a total of 5.5 shows (the final show being cancelled halfway through due to COVID-19). Design is a lifelong passion for me, and I am extremely grateful to know what my calling is at such a young age. I look forward to completing my degree at the University of Cincinnati and exploring the world of professional design for years to come.
